🌞 La gazette des vacances ( et des parents qui gèrent) n°4

EDITION 4 Return, laundry & nostalgia

It's the end of the holidays, the moment when the contents of the trunk explode in the hall, when we find seashells in our pockets and sand in our hair (but no one knows who the two solitary socks belong to).

You, back to school. With your procession of checklists, your alarm clock. You've got out your schoolbags, the labels to stick on, the shoes that are a little too tight , you arrive with your smells of new glue and cafeteria, your tight schedules

But this year, let us tell you one thing: you won't fool us .

Because we come back, yes. But not empty-handed.
We return with heavy hearts. Bursts of laughter at midnight . Improvised naps. Barbecues that last too long and discussions that won't end. We've gathered memories as sweet as salty skin.

So yes, we're going to get back into the rhythm. Pack up our suitcases. Answer emails, calls, and "Can you do this for me by yesterday?" "Your brief isn't great."
But we're going to do it differently. With a little grain of sand in our shoes so we don't forget. We're going to promise ourselves not to sacrifice everything. To keep time for the real moments . To resist, a little, a lot, the rush.

And if sometimes we cry a little in the morning, we know it will pass. That our friends will be there. That the teacher has planned a story, that snack time is coming soon, and that (above all) every day is a small step closer to the end of the year.

And above all, let's not forget that going back to school isn't just about getting back to work and homework: it's about knowing how to create comfort in everyday life.

The team's useful tip: "empty fridge, don't worry"
Consider scheduling a drive-through pickup on the way back or ordering a “back from vacation” basket like Picard or Too Good To Go. We’re not going to bother cooking an organic risotto after a 7-hour drive, are we?

And for the machine stitch... this great heroine of the new school year, the simplest to tame the laundry without losing your sanity, turn up the music really really loud and forget that you're hanging out the third, and on a misunderstanding launch it as a new family activity...
