Foam pieces
They are protected by non-removable water-repellent covers.
If soiled, clean with water and soap.
In case of a (c)atastrophe, the foam pieces can be machine washed at 30°C (one at a time). Air dry flat.
Cotton / sweat / cotton-linen mats
Covers are machine washable at 30°C on a standard cycle and spin (with similar colours).
Air dry.
Ironing is possible on the front side only (avoid ironing the coated reverse to preserve the water-repellent effect).
🧵 Good to know for cotton/linen mats and covers:
Cotton/linen is a fabric that loosens slightly with use — and that's part of its charm!
That's why our covers are intentionally fitted after washing, to ensure a perfect finish over time.
💡 A handy installation tip:
Once the cover is back on, flip the mat over and press down in a few places to distribute the fabric evenly.
And after two rolls from a little one (tried and tested), everything falls perfectly into place!
⚠️ Usage precaution
If your mat is placed on a damp surface (e.g. a dewy lawn in the morning), check that the foam pieces are not damp after use. If needed, remove the covers and leave the foam to air dry.
Waterproof mats
Cleaning recommended with a damp sponge and water and, if necessary, a suitable antiseptic product.
Machine washing is not recommended.
⚠️ Precautions if exposed to water
If your cover or mat has been exposed to a lot of water, remove the cover from your life mat and leave the foam pieces to air dry to avoid any moisture build-up. A small amount of water may seep in at the seams.
For the waterproof cover, make sure it is completely dry before storing it to prevent any moisture from developing.
📦 Long-term storage
If you don't use your waterproof cover all the time, store it rolled up to prevent marks from forming.
If mottled marks appear, they can fade with a gentle iron on the reverse side.

Moumoute cover
Our Moumoute cover is made from organic cotton, a delicate fabric that reacts on first wash. That's why it's sold slightly loose when new.
As soon as you receive it, we recommend washing it at 30°C, then tumble drying it. This allows the loops to fluff up and regain all their softness.
Waterproof covers
Cleaning recommended with a damp sponge and water and, if necessary, a suitable antiseptic product.
Machine washing is not recommended.
