Mezamé's story began with the birth of a little boy who arrived early at 32 weeks + 1 day, and so we chose to support the cause of premature birth by partnering with the SOS-Préma association.
SOS Préma was founded in 2004 by Charlotte Bouvard, herself the mother of a premature baby. The association supports parents facing premature birth and/or the hospitalisation of their newborn through listening, advice, peer exchange, improving their day-to-day experience in hospital, and working hand in hand with healthcare professionals. It also advocates for families with public authorities and defends their rights.
Since January 2021, we donate a portion of our monthly revenue to support this association, helping to fund in particular:
- Equipment to improve the comfort of parents and neonatal units, such as "recliner chairs"
- Training for volunteer telephone helpline staff who are there to listen to families, Monday to Friday
- And plenty more initiatives to come!
Careful selection of materials
Because babies' skin is ultra-sensitive, all our components are Oeko-Tex Class 100 certified, guaranteeing a composition free from harmful chemical substances: phthalates, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, nickel...
Our foam is also CertiPUR® certified, ensuring foam with low VOC emissions, free from heavy metals, free from listed carcinogenic substances, and excluding the most controversial and regulated phthalates.
Finally, all components are compliant with European REACH regulations, which govern the use of chemical substances to protect human health and the environment.
Some fabrics in our rug range are also made from 100% organic cotton certified GOTS, meaning they are produced from natural fibres grown through organic farming, without pesticides.
These certifications reflect our commitment to designing reliable, long-lasting products suited to the needs of families.

Because we want to offer you long-lasting essentials and because, in our own small way, we want to ''do our part'', we take particular care over the conditions in which our products are made.

Made in the Hauts-de-France region
The mattress protectors are cut and sewn at a French workshop offering employment to people with disabilities in adapted working conditions.
These mattress protectors are then fitted over and closed around the foam pieces at our main workshop in the Hauts-de-France region. This workshop also handles all our dispatching and the making of accessories for our life mat (storage baskets, blankets, cushions…)
The printed and activity covers are entrusted to the skilled hands of a specialist workshop of around ten workers who have been with Mezamé right from the very beginning.

Our bedding range
It is made in the workshops of our Portuguese printer, in the Porto region.
