Can you tell us more about the flap cover system?

At Mezamé, we designed the life carpet so that it stays with you for a long time, and above all so that it adapts to your child's development.

This is where the idea of the flap covers: covers that fit in a few seconds, like a notebook cover, directly over the carpet.

The idea? Not to have to take everything apart, just add a layer of exploration, play, protection, or softness depending on the moment:

🧸 Activity covers: sensory for babies, circuit for racing, wonderland to discover animals, coloring for budding artists or in the city for big imaginative people.

💧 Waterproof covers: perfect for messy activities, a snack or a trip outdoors.

☁️ Plush covers: for winter days when you just want to cocoon.

One mat, so many ways to play, explore, protect… and marvel.

📌 The flap cover is designed for the standard mat size (120X120), but the extension can be added by attaching the central snap to enlarge the playing space.

⚠️ Exception: the fleece cover is available in standard and king-size versions.

What is the difference between a waterproof zipped cover and a waterproof flap cover?

Good question! Both are raincoats and designed to tackle messy activities, spilled snacks, messy DIY projects, or outdoor activities. But their use is a little different:

🔁 The waterproof zipped cover

This is the main cover with zips of your living mat. You insert each piece of foam and voila, your mat becomes completely waterproof since it's the same material on both sides. Ideal for stress-free daily use!

➕ The waterproof flap cover

She place over your carpet, like a notebook cover. Its front is made of waterproof material and its flaps are made of water-repellent coated canvas, perfect for those special moments: a painting workshop, a dangerous compote or a trip outside. And once finished, you can remove it in 3 seconds and find your soft fabric mat.

In summary:

– Zips = continuous waterproof version

– Flaps = waterproof version on request

Can I buy a living mat directly with a flap cover (activity/fur, etc.)?

No, we do not offer the life carpet directly with
a flap cover instead of the zip cover.

💡For what ?

✔️ Foam pieces, when they are not assembled in a
zipped cover, cannot be folded or transported easily.

📌 How to proceed?
1️⃣ Buy a living mat, which includes 2 (or 3) pieces of foam and one zipped cover of your choice.
2️⃣ Then add a flap cover, which is easily positioned over thanks to its 4 flaps like a notebook cover

How do I maintain my waterproof mat or cover?

To maintain your waterproof mat or cover, we recommend a sponge cleaning with water and, if necessary, a suitable antiseptic product.

⚠️ Machine washing is not recommended.

📌 Precautions for exposure to water:

✔️ If your cover or rug has been exposed tolots of water, we recommend that you remove the cover from your living room rug and leave the foams air dry to avoid any trace of humidity. Indeed, a slight infiltration of water can occur at the seams.

✔️ For the waterproof cover, also make sure that it is completely dry before storing it to avoid any appearance of humidity.

📦 Long-term storage:
If your waterproof cover is not used permanently on the mat, it
is better than the keep rolled to avoid the appearance
of traces of marbling.

👉 If marks appear, they may fade with a blow of
iron inside out.
