What does it feel like? A durable material with a lovely leather-like effect — supple and soft to the touch.

Deliveries within Metropolitan France are handled by Chronopost 13H or ChronoRelais (24h after dispatch, Monday to Friday), Colissimo (2–3 days), Mondial Relay (3–5 days), GLS (2–3 working days), across Europe (4–5 days), and worldwide (5–11 days).

RETURNS

Can you tell us more about the flap cover system?

At Mèzamé, we designed the life mat so it grows with you for a long time, and above all adapts to your child's development.

That's where the idea for flap covers: covers that are placed in a matter of seconds, like a exercise book cover, directly on top of the mat.

The idea? No need to take everything apart — just add a layer of exploration, play, protection or softness depending on the moment:

🧸 Activity covers: sensory for babies, a racing circuit, a wonderland to discover animals, a colouring sheet for budding artists, or in the city for the big imaginers.

💧 Waterproof covers: perfect for messy activities, a snack or a trip outdoors.

☁️ Fluffy covers: for those winter days when all you want to do is cosy up.

📌 The flap cover is designed for the standard mat size (120x120), but the extension can be added by fastening the central press stud to expand the play area.

⚠️ Exception: the fluffy cover comes in standard and king-size versions.

What is the difference between a waterproof zip cover and a waterproof flap cover?

Great question! Both are waterproof and designed to handle messy activities, spilled snacks, chaotic DIY sessions or outdoor adventures. But they work a little differently:

🔁 The waterproof zip cover

It's the main zip cover of your life mat. You insert each foam panel and voilà, your mat becomes fully waterproof since it uses the same fabric on both sides. Perfect for stress-free everyday use!

➕ The waterproof flap cover

It is sits on top of your mat, like a book cover. Its front is made from waterproof fabric and its flaps from water-repellent coated canvas, perfect for those one-off moments: an art session, a suspiciously runny fruit pouch, or a trip outdoors. And once you're done, it comes off in three seconds and you're back to your lovely soft fabric mat.

In a nutshell:

– Zips = continuously waterproof

– Flaps = waterproof on demand

Can I buy a life mat that already comes with a flap cover (activity / sheepskin-effect..)?

No, we don't offer the life mat directly with
a flap cover instead of the zip cover.

💡 Why?

✔️ The foam pieces, when they are not assembled in a
zip cover, cannot be folded or transported easily.

📌How does it work?
1️⃣ Buy a life mat, which includes 2 (or 3) foam pieces and a zip cover of your choice.
2️⃣ Then add a flap cover, which fits easily on top thanks to its 4 flaps like a book cover

How do I care for my waterproof mat or cover?

To care for your waterproof mat or cover, we recommend a sponge cleaning with water and, if necessary, a suitable antiseptic product.

⚠️ Machine washing is not recommended.

📌 Precautions when exposed to water:

✔️ If your cover or mat has been exposed to a lot of water, we recommend that you remove the cover from your life mat and allow the foam pieces air dry to avoid any moisture. Indeed, a slight water infiltration may occur at the seams.

✔️ For the waterproof cover, also make sure it is completely dry before storing it to avoid any moisture build-up.

📦 Long-term storage:
If your waterproof cover is not permanently in use on the mat, it
is best to store rolled up to prevent
the appearance of marbling marks.

👉 If marks appear, they may fade with a quick iron
on the reverse side.
